Lately I've been having a blast reading steampunk and while I'm not super-familiar with the genre; I'm enjoying it a lot and even have a piece of short fiction forthcoming in the style.
But today I wanted to share a book I recently read and loved - The Cogsmith's Daughter by Kate M Colby. I'd like to put a real review up soon but I'm flat out at the moment; so in short, great characters, great writing and a fascinating desert-like world (with a land-locked luxury cruise ship as a palace!). Ace tension throughout too, I was really pulled along as I read and am awfully keen to see what happens in book 2 :)
