Calling all Goodreads users!
I've recently opened a giveaway for the print edition of the Book of Never (featuring the first three of Never's adventures combined) and wanted to share the details here in case you'd like to enter - just click below :)
Giveaways for The Fairy Wren.
First up is a signed paperback of The Fairy Wren - offered via the awesome Aurelia and her book club - you can enter right here! You can also check out the interview we conducted - blessedly my internet was reliable enough that we didn't have constant drop outs :)
There's also three copies of the ebook and two more print copies up for grabs over at The Fussy Librarian - here's the links for the print and ebook comps!
As part of the Cyber Convention last week I was also lucky enough to be interviewed by fellow Author Tracy M Joyce and review Rainne at Just Books, and you can check out the interviews by clicking on the respective links. I talk a fair bit about Never and The Amber Isle but also all kinds of other topics like music and film and had a great time!
Insanitek‘s book club are running a cool giveaway where you can win a print copy of both the City of Masks and my latest poetry collection, Old Stone & Between Giants !
All you have to do to enter is spread the word a little –
jump over here and take a look :)
You can also read an interview I did with Grace from Insanitek, which was one of the most enjoyable interviews I’ve done; we covered a lot of ground from Italy, tourism, poetry and fiction!
(I’m a bit behind in mentioning this – the comp has been open for a while but closes in 10 days!)
It's time to compile some things that have been going on!
While I've been working to meet a few deadlines (another draft of Greatmask and various other projects :)) I took part in the 2016 2k Indie blog tour (moreso on twitter than here) where I was interviewed. I talk about The Fairy Wren and some background on writing it too.
On the tour you can also see HEAPS of other great writers and books - check out a master list and stay tuned for a review of one of the books featured there too!
I was also interviewed by Grace over at 'Inked' and there I talked about City of Masks, travel and poetry in one of my favourite interviews I've ever done! There's also a giveaway and coming up there in March where you can win both City of Masks and a copy of my latest poetry collection Between Giants & Old Stone :)
I've also got a few pre-release reviews for The Amber Isle to share in a few days when it launches on March 1st :) In the meantime, here's a third interview courtesy of J. Evan Stuart, where I talk a fair bit about the book and some of the decisions behind it.
In addition, I received a wonderful review for The Lost Mask over at Fantasy Literature which thrilled me to bits - I've been nervous about how the sequel would be received and I'm glad it's building on Book 1 by the sounds of things!
The Lost Mask review
AND last but certainly not in anyway least, I wanted to let you know about this giveaway - I was invited to submit City of Masks to a huge giveaway a little while ago and jumped at the chance.
You can check out the details below:

Today I've got a bit of a mixture of links to a range of things, a couple of interviews, a review, a blog post, and a giveaway and so without further rambling, here's the list :D
I recently started working with an ace group of writers who've banded together under the name Quill. We're a cross-genre bunch trying to share interesting content and win fans - for my part you can check out a short interview and my post: Intro to World Building - Making it Stick.
Friday Fortnight Interview
A while back Kerry J Donovan conducted an interview on his blog - check it out if you're looking for a chuckle :) (And while you're there, if you like Crime-Thrillers have a look at his DCI Jones Casebook series, they're ace.)
With the release of Crossings not too far off (I'm gunning for October) I'm offering 3 ways to win a copy during the lead up :)
1. Visit Goodreads and add the book to your 'to-read' shelf and you'll be automatically notified when the Goodreads Giveaway goes live. (This one opens in Nov.)
2. Visit the 'newsletter' sign-up page in the top right of the site and that's it - you're in the running to win an e-copy of Crossings and you'll also receive the eBook for A Whisper of Leaves upon sign-up. (The newsletter comp will be announced in Oct.)
3. Visit the Crossings page and check out chapter one (or click here, it's probably quicker) and answer a simple question:
What does Lisa find on her doorstep?
Once you find the answer, just let me know by leaving a comment on this post OR by sending me an e-mail to mountain0ash[at]gmail[dot]com. The first two people to answer will win a print copy of Crossings :)
The Lost Mask
Some early reviews are in and it's a weight off my mind to see readers who enjoyed City of Masks are finding that The Lost Mask lives up to their expectations!
Here's a link to them on GR. Thanks to everyone who has read it already and let me know what they thought, it makes a big difference :)
Just a quick update tonight - very pleased to report that The Lost Mask will be released in this August!
No exact date yet, but I'll be sure to post that soon as I have it. I should be able to share the new artwork for the book soon too.
In the meantime, if you'd like to check out the first few chapters of The Lost Mask you can do so here (there will be spoilers) and if you'd like a chance to win a copy of City of Masks, jump over to the Book Frivolity to enter the paperback giveaway :)
I recently completed an interview with the awesome Kristy at Book Frivolity and it was a blast! I had a heap of fun and even managed to explode a pixie - so I have to thank Kristy for creating such a great interview.
In it I talk a bit about fiction and poetry along with City of Masks and its forthcoming follow-up, The Lost Mask, but also about Cadbury and regret.
You can read the interview here at Book Frivolity and while you're there, if you'd like a chance to win a signed copy of City of Masks, you just have to scroll down to enter the giveaway that's running too :)
